Google-ize Your Classroom

I'm so excited for tomorrow morning!  We will be training elementary teachers about the power of Google Docs!  AND (in my opinion) the best part will be.... THE GOOGLE LEARNING FAIR!  Yippeeeee!!! Teachers will be free to roam about and PLAY with the google tools.  Such a contrast to the traditional sit and listen PD we are accustomed to in our district.  Each Elementary Curriculum Technology Partner chose a part of Google Apps to demonstrate at a learning station.  The lucky teachers attending will have the opportunity to learn about the Chrome browser, Advanced Search tools, Search Stories, YouTube, Google Presentations, Google Forms,  and Google Maps.  After roaming, teachers will choose and complete 2 tasks from two learning stations of their choice then collaborate with others to develop classroom implementation ideas.  Wondering where I'll be? At the Google Maps Learning Station.  Here's a sneak peek of my Google Maps  Presentation.  Can you tell, I've been Google-ized?

And as if that isn't exciting enough, my fellow CTP friend and I, will then spend the afternoon discussing how teacher and student PLN's can be developed using BLOGS!  and how Google Reader and Livebinders are ways to easily organize them. Check out our Prezi "Blasting into the Blogosphere".
